Ranchi, May 12, 2023: The Ranchi Cancer Hospital & Research Centre ( RCHRC), set up by Tata Trusts, was today inaugurated by Shri Hemant Soren, Chief Minister, Government of Jharkhand, in the presence of Shri Banna Gupta, Health Minister, Government of Jharkhand; Mr. Noel Tata, Trustee, Tata Trusts, and Vice Chairman, Tata Steel; Mr. Siddharth Sharma, CEO, Tata Trusts; Mr. T. V. Narendran, MD & CEO, Tata Steel, and other senior representatives of Tata Trusts and Tata Steel along with officers of the Government of Jharkhand. The hospital will be operated under the aegis of the Tata Cancer Care Foundation (TCCF) which also operates a hospital at Tirupati and an onco-pathology lab in Mumbai. The core aim of the Tata Trusts’ Distributed Cancer Care Model, being implemented through TCCF, is to make world-class cancer treatment accessible and affordable to patients. Tata Trusts has, since 2017, been developing and augmenting cancer facilities across six states - Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka. SVIMS, Tata Cancer Hospital to be upgraded as regional cancer centres

Tirupati: TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy said on Sunday that the State government has decided to upgrade the functioning of SVIMS cancer hospital and also the Tata Cancer Hospital coming up here as regional cancer centres for providing world-class facilities for cancer treatment. Speaking after his visit to the oncology wing of SVIMS and also Tata cancer hospital under construction here on Sunday, he said eminent international cancer specialist and Advisor to AP government Dr Nori Dattatreyudu, at the behest of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had visited both hospitals last month and made many suggestions to State officials to develop both the hospitals as regional cancer centres, including upgradation of existing facilities and acquiring more equipments for SVIMS cancer hospital for expanding treatment for cancer patients. The AP government identified Tirupati (Rayalaseema), Guntur (coastal) and Vizag (North Andhra) to set up regional cancer hospitals and improve facilities for cancer treatment. He said while the Tata Cancer Hospital is likely to be ready for inauguration by May 1st week, the TTD is expeditiously organising recruitment of medical staff and equipment for the Oncology department at SVIMS. Tata: Hemant Inaugurates Tata’s Cancer Hospital In Ranchi

RANCHI: Chief minister Hemant Soren on Friday inaugurated a new cancer hospital-cum-research centre of Tata Trusts in Ranchi and said, “I hope the facility will prove to be a milestone in the state’s health services in coming years.” Soren, along with health minister Banna Gupta, visited the new hospital building at Kadma village in Sukurhuttu in Kanke block on the outskirts of the city and took a tour of the hospital. “We have very little in Jharkhand for treatment of cancer. So, it is quite natural that patients from the state travel to other states. This hospital will offer treatment in Jharkhand itself. Patients from nearby states will also come,” he added. Spread over a 23.5-acre plot donated by the state government in 2018, the hospital started OPD services in January. Friday’s inauguration will pave way for indoor services. The hospital, the Tata Trusts said, has a provision of 82 beds and with time, the hospital is expected to augment its bed capacity to 300. Tata Trusts and Tata Steel jointly run the Meherbai Tata Memorial Hospital in Jamshedpur. Jagan inaugurates ₹180 cr. cancer hospital in Tirupati

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was on an inauguration spree during his visit to Tirupati on Thursday, as he declared open and laid foundation stone for a slew of facilities, most of them on the medical front. He inaugurated Sri Venkateswara Institute for Cancer Care and Advanced Research (SVICCAR), a ₹180-crore state-of-the-art cancer research facility developed on the Alipiri – Cherlopally road. Established by the Alimelu Charitable Trust, the hospital is supported by the Tata group. Mr. Jagan Mohan announced the government’s motto as bringing all types of cancer care under the free treatment category. Radiation oncologist and adviser to State Nori Dattatreyudu lauded Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s vision of developing three major cancer care centres in the State. Tata Trusts CEO N.
