Redmi Note 12 5G Review: Perfect Phone With an Imperfect Camera

• Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 5G • TPU Clear case • 33 Watt Charger • Type-C charging cable • Sim ejection tool • Quick Start Guide Redmi Note 12 5G: Design and Build Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 series has improved design language, borrowed from the Redmi K50i, which looks very fresh and modern. While other brands are going for glossy and shiny finish rear panels, Xiaomi has opted for a subtle tint. The back panel is made of polycarbonate but replicates the feeling of a frosted glass panel and looks really good in hands. The slim form factor also adds to the premium touch that Xiaomi tries to add to this budget phone. The few things that wowed me are, how Xiaomi has managed to keep it at 8mm thickness with the low-profile camera bump on this phone. The frame is also made from polycarbonate and themed to blend in with the rest of the smartphone aesthetics. On the top is the glorious 3.5mm audio jack alongside the IR blaster and secondary microphone. At the bottom side, you’ll find the USB Type-C port along with the loudspeaker and primary microphone. The SIM tray slot is on the left side and the volume and power buttons are placed on the right side. The power button doubles as a fingerprint sensor to unlock the smartphone with one touch. The smartphone is also IP 53 rated so a few splashes won’t be a problem for the Redmi Note 12 5G. Overall I am very much satisfied with the design and build quality of this smartphone, it gives a premium feel despite being a budget smartphone. Redmi Note...

what is the display technology used in redmi note 12 5g?

The Redmi Note 12 5G uses an IPS (In-Plane Switching) LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. IPS LCD is a type of display technology that is commonly used in smartphones and other electronic devices. It offers good color accuracy and wide viewing angles, but may not have the same level of contrast and black levels as other types of displays, such as OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) displays. The refresh rate of a display refers to the number of times per second that the screen is refreshed with new image data. A higher refresh rate can result in a smoother and more fluid visual experience, particularly when scrolling or watching fast-moving content. The Redmi Note 12 5G's 90Hz refresh rate is considered to be relatively high compared to many other smartphone displays, which typically have a refresh rate of 60Hz.

Redmi Note 12 series finally brings 5G across the popular mid

• • • • Redmi Note 12 series finally brings 5G across the popular mid-range series Redmi Note 12 series finally brings 5G across the popular mid-range series The Redmi Note 12 series is yet to launch in India, but could feature the same specifications when it does, including 5G support for all variants. Redmi recently announced the Redmi Note 12 series in China, succeeding the Redmi Note 11 series of mid-range smartphones. The new series comprises three smartphones – The Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. While the phones do come with new specifications over the 11-series, the biggest change seems to be 5G support, which is now offered across the Redmi Note 12 series. Previously this was limited to select devices in the series. While the Redmi Note 12 is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip, the Note 12 Pro, and Pro+ are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip, both of which come with a 5G modem. Here’s all you need to know about the new phones. No timeline on India launch yet The Redmi Note 12 series is yet to launch in India, and while the brand has changed up the specifications when bringing its smartphones to India in the past, it remains to be seen if that will be the case this time around. Support for 5G however, is expected to be one of the key differentiators of the series when it does launch in India, and the chipsets used, especially the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, do not have much competition in the budget 5G segment, so a major change in spe...

First Impressions: Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 5G Review

First Impressions While I’m not quite ready to deliver my final thoughts, my first impressions of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 5G are largely positive, with a great 120Hz AMOLED display and the same 5000mAh battery found in some flagships. Performance isn’t that great with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, and despite a high-res 48MP camera, initial tests weren’t overwhelmingly positive, but sacrifices have to be made at the budget end of the market. Key Features • Huge battery With a 5,000mAh battery, the Redmi Note 12 shouldn’t struggle to last all day. • High-end display Despite the budget price tag, the Redmi Note 12 5G sports a top-end 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. • Affordable price tag Starting at just £219 with 5G connectivity, the Redmi Note 12 5G is a tempting option at a budget-friendly price. Introduction Announced at the Western Europe launch in Paris, the Redmi Note 12 5G looks to deliver tempting specs including a 6.67-inch AMOLED 120Hz display, 5000mAh battery and a 48MP rear camera for as little as £219 if you want 4GB of RAM, or just £279 if you want to boost that to 6GB. It certainly sounds like a tempting option on paper, but how does it perform in real life? I spent a bit of time playing with the Redmi Note 12 5G at the launch event in Paris, and here are my initial impressions. Design and screen • All-plastic build • Stylish design • High-end 120Hz AMOLED display For a phone that costs just over £200, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 5G looks pre...

Redmi Note 12 review: Good smartphone but buy it in special sale

By Abhik Sengupta: Xiaomi's plan to make affordable 5G phones in India continues with their latest Redmi Note 12 series. The new series includes two Pro models and a vanilla Redmi Note 12, which is also available in China but in a slightly different avatar. On the other hand, the India-specific unit focuses on cameras, and it comes with three cameras on the back instead of two. Naturally, an extra camera sensor on the back increases the price of the At Rs 17,999, the new Redmi Note 12 may not seem like a typical Note-series smartphone, as Xiaomi's Note series is known for its aggressive pricing. However, like every year, the newest iteration features some notable improvements. For instance, this year's base Redmi Note 12 offers a larger 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi Note 11 comes with a 6.4-inch 90Hz AMOLED display. At its core, the Redmi Note 12 includes a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC instead of a Snapdragon 680 chipset. The former unlocks 5G connectivity, which makes sense as 5G is rolling out in India. In that case, is Redmi Note 12 a good option to consider at this price point? Here is the full review. Redmi Note 12 design and display For nearly two years, Xiaomi's Note series featured the EVOL (love spelled backwards) design, which many people found aesthetically pleasing, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea. This design featured rear cameras stacked in a pyramid shape and with a black finish, which gave it a modern look but did not mat...
