Pension Of Former MPs And Their Allowances

नई दिल्ली: देश में लोकसभा का चुनाव एक बार भी जीत जाने और एक दिन के लिए भी संसद का सदस्य बन जाने के लिए भारत सरकार की ओर से पेंशन दिए जाने की व्यवस्था है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सेवानिवृत्त सांसदों को दी जाने वाली पेंशन और अन्य भत्तों के खिलाफ दायर याचिका को सोमवार को खारिज कर दिया. इसी के साथ साफ हो गया कि सांसदों को पेंशन और भत्ता यथावत मिलते रहेंगे. आइए जानें की पूर्व सांसदों को क्या क्या सुविधाएं मिलती हैं. • संसद सदस्य वेतन, भत्ता और पेंशन अधिनियम 1954 के तहत सांसदों को पेंशन मिलती है. एक पूर्व सांसद को हर महीने 20 हजार रुपये पेंशन मिलती है. • 5 साल से अधिक होने पर हर साल के लिए 1500 रुपये अलग से दिए जाते हैं. बता दें कि योगी आदित्यनाथ कमेटी ने सांसदों की पेंशन राशि बढ़ाकर 35 हजार रुपये करने की सिफारिश की है. • आज की तारीख में पेंशन के लिए कोई न्यूनतम समय सीमा तय नहीं है. यानी कितने भी समय के लिए सांसद रहा व्यक्ति पेंशन का हकदार होगा. • एक अजीब विरोधाभासी नियम है. सांसदों और विधायकों को डबल पेंशन लेने का भी हक है. कोई व्यक्ति पहले विधायक रहा हो और बाद में सांसद भी बना हो तो उसे दोनों की पेंशन मिलती है. • पति, पत्नी या आश्रित को फेमिली पेंशन की सुविधा भी है. सांसद या पूर्व सांसद की मृत्यु पर उनके पति, पत्नी या आश्रित को आजीवन आधी पेंशन दी जाती है. • मुफ्त रेल यात्रा की सुविधा दी जाती है. पूर्व सांसदों को किसी एक सहयोगी के साथ ट्रेन में सेकेंड एसी में मुफ्त यात्रा की सुविधा है. अकेले यात्रा पर प्रथम श्रेणी एसी की सुविधा है.

Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1976 mp152 LEGISLATIVE HISTORY 6 CHAPTER I Preliminary • Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called The Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1976. (2) They shall come into force on the 1st June, 1976. • Application.- (i) Save as otherwise provided in these rules, these rules shall apply to every Government servant appointed to civil services and posts in connection with the affairs of the State of Madhya Pradesh and who are borne on establishments not declared as non-pensionable. (ii) These rules shall not apply to- (a) persons in a work-charged establishment; (b) persons in casual and daily rated employment; (c) persons paid from contingencies; (d) persons entitled to the benefit of Contributory Provident Fund; (e) persons employed on contract except when the contract provides otherwise; and (f) persons whose terms and conditions of service are regulated by any other rules for the time being in force. Highlights of the Ordinances • The two Ordinances amend: (i) the Salary, Allowances, and Pension of Members of Parliament Act, 1954 to reduce the salaries of MPs by 30%, and (ii) the Salaries and Allowances of Ministers Act, 1952, to reduce the sumptuary allowance of Ministers by 30%. • The government also amended Rules notified under the 1954 Act to reduce certain allowances of MPs for one year. These include constituency allowance and office expenses allowance. • These changes have been made for a period of one year effective from April 1, 2020. • These reductions are being made to supplement the financial resources of the centre to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.
