next pilgrimage destination after Mata Vaishno Devi darshan. Now after the introduction of the ropeway, the journey has been smooth. It's 100 INR up & down but at times, you have to be in Q for hours. another option is an old steep path to the temple. The legend has it when Vaishnavi Devi beheaded Bhairo Nath, his head flew to the Bhairv Valley and his rest of the body remained in the cave. the sacred yatra to Mata Vaishno Devi is only considered complete when the devotees pay homage at Bhairon Mandir, ( after Atonement of Bhairo baba, Mata grants his wish), thus, a large number of Hindu pilgrims visit this sacred temple. one can have a great view of Bhavan from here. Went to the bhairon baba darshan after vaishno devi darshan via rope way. Via eope way it took hardly 3-4 mins to reach at the top but the procedure for reaching the rope way took an hour. It is advisible to take the meals near bhawan only as there is no good food available at bhairon baba mandir and also because of presence of a large numbers of monkeys. Mandir is not well maintained as compared to mata jee ka bhawan but it is believed that journey is incomplete without the bhairon baba darshan. Bhairo Baba Temple is 2kms upward to Vaishnodevi Temple, Trekking and also the Ropway option is available during day time. In the Night it doesn't operate so if you don't want to Walk uptill you have to visit during day time and use Ropway. Nice Place and lot of history and blissfulness. Jai Baba Bhaironath Jai Bhair...
